My Bosses did all this and more.. what is your favourite Boss story?

My Bosses not only gave me disproportionate opportunities and exposures to learn (which we didn’t see as exploitation by the way), they got me to question many deeply held values, beliefs, assumptions and self imposed limitations, build Self-belief and self esteem with accomplishing and overcoming these barriers, inspired me by being a Role model, but also confronted, pushed and questioned me when they felt I was underutilising my potential, not experimenting or not changing a behaviour in the way of my success. These people made you love your work, build competence/ expertise by sharing this generously, and made work your High Point experience, as you keenly looked forward to coming to work everyday.

Far from any chance for Apple polishing, while they were strongly invested in my success, they never let me forget that they were not charmed or biased by their interest in my success, by never failing to confront, provoke or provide me discordant feedback?! They were confident in the Trust they had established in our relationship of delivering excellence together which helped Actualize both our potential.

Sounds utopian? This is true! I have many I have tagged here who have experienced this together and also copied in some Mentors. Our Best Work experiences are mutual.
