Dr Sujaya Banerjee

I am Dr Sujaya Banerjee – a Leadership and Culture Change professional with over 3 decades of experience in leading Change within organizations. I am currently the Founder CEO of Capstone People Consulting -manifestation of a long-standing dream to be an Entrepreneur in my area of expertise. I am a High Performance Cultures and OKR specialist in Strategy Execution, Leadership and Change and High Performance Culture building, and we work with over 80 leading MNCs and large Indian Groups.

My career of 32 years has spanned across 5 Geographies, with outstanding learning and experiences in leading Companies like Godrej Soaps ( now Godrej Industries), Abu Dhabi National Oil Company ( Shell and British Petroleum), British Gas, Lowe Lintas and Partners and finally the Essar Group where I drove Transformation to positively impact 11 Group companies.

I am passionate about managing Change and like the spirit of challenging the Status quo and helping organizations develop a Bias for Action and Performance.

I am the Author of Switch!- How 12 Indian Companies Managed change Successfully and have also been an Evangelist for Change and Learning through founding the Learning and OD Roundtable which has over 25,000+ leading Professionals as Members.

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion are also close to heart- and are areas of Passion and Expertise, having been a pioneer in this space way before many organizations spoke about building Cultures of D&I.

I feel strongly about this important Agenda that has the power to transform the Society by questioning deep conditioning, often being stolen by focus on Compliance rather than Culture. Finally DEI helps create a virtuous cycle of Compassion which inspires me…

I am an advocate of Coaching and have had the opportunity to both Coach and Mentor several professionals directly. I Coach several Leaders to manifest their potential and am excited about influencing individual transformation that sets off a virtuous cycle of positivity and excellence…

I write for the Times of India, am an avid Reader of books and articles, given my background in Research – it excites me to lead various inquiries through the Forums I lead which I believe have helped professionals in Leadership, Talent, Change, Human Capital Management, Communication and others to adopt current insights and next practises.

I am Mother to Priyanka Banerjee (26) who is a successful Filmmaker, and to Aryaman Banerjee (24) and am married to Jaydeep Banerjee, a Fintech Entrepreneur who also leads a successful Start-up.

I am inspired by Poetry, and deep insights, I love greenery and plants and am drawn to colours and aesthetics that make me a fashion and interiors enthusiast!

My vision is to influence 100,000 Professionals through my life ( I am doing well with this vision), and I want to keep influencing Tipping point groups of Leaders to help build Workplaces of the Future. I aspire to accelerate Empowerment and Equality in our Cultures and want to build a formidable Consulting firm that enable all those we touch to manifest Excellence and High Performance!
