Here is a video I recorded in 2020 in the throes of the pandemic, recalling 10 Precepts that were most powerful in transforming my life.

We start with Precept #1 here..
Luck is dressed in overalls and looks like Work!

In an environment of lucky days and months and colours, I always found conversations on Luck being a Key Influencer of Success, to be very disempowering indeed. It gives us permission to place our Locus of Control externally, and not believe we have very much agency in influencing the outcomes of our actions.

This can reduce actions and inputs to influence the outcomes we seek, and erode self belief which is such a positive determinant of success. On the other hand hard work, efforts and contributions can expand our influence and the probability of success despite difficulties. Internal Locus of control makes us hold ourselves accountable by doing the work before expecting outcomes/ results to magically manifest.

Luck is dressed in Overalls and Looks like Work- our first step to adulthood is to understand- nothing ventured…nothing gained..

Enjoy the video!!! Watch this space for the other Precepts…
